About

Hats Off is a small mail-order company that specializes in hats with names of Military units. Hats Off, established in 1990 selling only AEGIS ship hats, expanded into doing all other ships’ hats, other branches of services hats, custom-made hats for reunions, decommissioned ships, new ships ball caps, veterans, collectors, and anyone who wants this type of hat.
Hats Off purchases directly from Navy brokers and overruns from the manufacturers. All hats are the “same as sold on board ship today.” The hats are a baseball-style command cap and made from wool blend material, with embroidered ships’ name, hull numbers, and depending on the ship, whether it has a crest or silhouette of the ship or just the name and hull number. The ship’s name and hull number are embroidered in yellow gold, the silhouettes are in gray, and the crests are in multi-colors. The embroidery is on a patch that is heat sealed to the hat. These are “ORIGINAL” hats that the Navy used to use. These hats have a velcro adjustable strap and wool blend material all around, and are called stock hats. Fitted hats are the same as the wool blend hats with NO velcro adjustable strap.
Custom-made hats are the same hats with direct embroidered ship’s name and hull number silhouettes. Dolphins, silhouettes and crests are available for custom-made hats. Captain’s and Admiral’s eggs are available along with Plankowner in script or block letters. Hats Off also offers custom coffee mugs (same as in the service today), jacket patches, Army unit hats, Marine unit hats, and Air Force and Coast Guard Hats.
Hats Off also offers jacket patches and coffee mugs “same as used on board ship today” on request.
Hats Off sells all “ORIGINAL” items – nothing is a reproduction unless otherwise stated.
